On behalf of United Maritime Australia Pty Ltd, I would like to relay to you and your team our appreciation for the professional effort and results in the recent delivery of our vessel “Parmelia I” from Fremantle to Brisbane.
The initial weather conditions for this southbound voyage were very challenging and despite this issue the vessel was delivered on time and with no incidents.
The Chief Engineer, by remaining onboard for the extra day, was extremely energetic and helpful to our joining crew and our Technical Superintendent during the handover process.
The daily reporting managed by your office was informative and punctual which assisted our communications to our Singapore colleagues and the insurers.
Kim, Brendan and Team,
I have just returned from Japan and the commissioning ceremony for ‘Akane’.
The ship is in great shape and in commercial service.
This is just a short note to thank you all for the successful delivery. Whilst we collectively had to deal with a number of issues and challenges along the way, they were all handled in a constructive and professional manner, and the end result was an uneventful delivery voyage and an ultimately happy customer at the end of the day.
Well done to all, and thanks again.
Managing Director, Incat Australia Pty Ltd
International Maritime Services, in the person of the captains Mark Oswald, Brendan Cooley and crew have been working on board our 41m, 5760kW propulsive power high-speed ferry “Vale Grand Sud” in the first half of 2012.
Mark and Brendan have been part of the sea trials team, and they have been the captains on board during the delivery voyage. They have always given us a feeling of strong “know how” and confidence when in command.
After the boat was delivered, Brendan Cooley has acted as a trainer for our captains for duration of one month during the start-up of the Vale Grand Sud.
Brendan has an excellent boat-handling ability, and he has taken his task as a trainer very seriously, helping our captains to take over with all the knowledge and practice necessary to preform safe journeys.
Overall, the IMS captains and crew proved to be very professional in thier job, understanding the importance of a new boat for her owner.
