IMS HAS DRAMATICALLY REDUCED THE COST OF RELOCATING VESSELS IN 2010

Due to the recent expansion of our company which created a large increase in vessel deliveries during 2009, we’ve developed a much stronger buying/negotiating power and in keeping with our new strategy we’ve been able to negotiate more attractive rates with suppliers, subcontractors, agencies, crew etc.  This has enabled us to reach a stage where we can confidently pass those savings on to our existing and potential clients  without sacrificing quality of service and/or the safety of crew and vessel.

Over the years IMS has relocated a large number of vessels to all areas on the globe and has built a reputation as being flexible, reliable and ethical, maintaining an impeccable safety record. However, even though we’ve relocated more high speed ferries than any other company in the world and carried out sea trials and training for some of the largest and most prestigious shipyards, we’ve seemed to project an image of a small organization, which may have suited our cause at first, but a stage was eventually reached where we were compelled to change that perception if we planned to remain competitive.

About 18 Months ago we made a conscious decision to realign IMS as a larger entity which would be considered a “truly international service provider” in every sense of the word. In order to do so  we made several significant changes, including increasing our staff compliment, purchasing larger premises for our head office, opening an office in Singapore, and negotiating the opening of an office in the USA. Parallel to these changes, we also went on a strong proactive marketing drive and in doing so received very encouraging results as far as new business goes, making 2009 by far our strongest year ever.
