IMS is trusted throughout the industry for supplying reliable, appropriate and highly skilled personnel to commission new build vessels for shipyards across the globe. The commissioning captains and engineers who work fulltime in the company are specialist operators of high speed craft and diesel engines.
These experienced professional captains and engineers are regularly called upon to either take control or assist the yards commissioning crew to run up and test the function of the vessel's bridge and engine room systems, working with both manufacturers' technicians, and in many cases the classification, and flag state bodies.
Because of our experience in high speed ferries, especially ones fitted with water-jet propulsion systems and high speed diesels, we have been invited by yards in the UK, USA and Singapore to assist with the commissioning trials and delivery of their latest new-build vessels.
